A Trashionable Way to Save the Earth!

RECYCLING. It’s so important to our environment—but traditionally not the sexiest concept. Until Aveda put its most creative minds on it.

Behold, the Recycled Water Bottle Dress!

To raise recycling awareness while honoring its fashion-forward roots, Aveda sponsors Catwalks for Water, or “Trashion Shows,” across North America every Earth Month. These runway shows feature imaginative looks created entirely of recycled, unconventional materials. Aveda salon teams conceive, design and execute these “trashions” and they never disappoint!

New York City’s annual Catwalk for Water is one of Aveda’s most high-profile Earth Month shows, and this year five Scott J teams submitted five incredible looks. Held last week at the Taj Lounge, this year’s show was arguably one of the best we’ve ever seen — and two Scott J teams won top honors! Here are the spectacular trashions created by our amazing, creative, talented teams.
