Scott J styling can take you from a polished blowout on an otherwise ordinary Tuesday to the kind of updo that needs to hold through dinner, dancing and whatever happens after. Blow dry styling, sleek finishes, hot tools, braiding and curly and coily styling are all approached with the same attention to the hair itself. Every service starts with a consultation and, for blowouts, includes customized Aveda care, a stress-relieving scalp, neck and shoulder massage and a complimentary hand treatment.

Prices are determined by your stylist during the consultation and may vary for a variety of reasons: the experience level of your stylist, the length and thickness of your hair, and the time required to complete your service.

Our team of stylists offer a variety of braiding styles that include french braids, cornrows, loc maintenance, and more. All pricing and availability are based on consultation.
CURLY / COILY STYLING
POLICY/ CANCELLATIONS / RUNNING LATE
In consideration of our other guests and your service provider we ask that if you need to cancel an appointment, please allow as much notice as possible.
If you are running a little late, please understand that every effort will be made to still deliver the service. However, appointments may have to be rescheduled or modified.
In order to reserve any color, chemical or extension service appointments we require a credit card must be provided at the time of booking to hold the reservation. Failure to cancel a reservation less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the reserved service price.
Any guest that has frequently missed or rescheduled appointments will be required to provide us with their credit card information for future reservations.
Environmental Stewardship Fee: A $1 Environmental Stewardship Fee is applied to each visit to support our partnership with Green Circle Salons, helping recover and responsibly recycle salon waste such as hair, foils, excess color, plastics, and beauty materials.

There’s a particular pleasure in leaving the salon with your hair completely handled.
For some guests, that means a classic blow dry with movement and volume. For others, it’s a sleek, straight finish, curls added with hot tools or styling that works with the natural pattern of curly or coily hair. Scott J also offers twist outs, braiding and updos ranging from classic to intricate, with bridal styling planned around the details that matter for the day.
The point isn’t to put the same polished finish on everyone. Your stylist starts by talking through where you’re going, how you like to wear your hair and what you want it to do. Texture, density and length all factor into the technique, products and time needed to get there.
Blow dry appointments include a customized shampoo with Aveda products, plus Scott J’s signature stress-relieving scalp, neck and shoulder massage and complimentary hand treatment. It’s the kind of detail that has been part of the Scott J experience for decades, and makes getting your hair done feel decidedly better than doing it yourself.
Curly and coily styling gets its own consideration, with services including Wash and Go styling and Twist Outs using flat twists, double-strand twists or Bantu knots. Detangling can also be reserved in advance when additional time is needed.
For weddings, events and more intricate styling, a consultation gives your stylist time to consider your inspiration, hair, accessories and the logistics of the finished look before the day arrives.
