At Scott J Aveda Salons, we have always believed that beauty is about more than what happens inside our salons.

Today, our hearts are with the people of Nepal as communities face devastating flooding and the difficult work of relief and recovery.
This is a cause that feels especially close to home for us.
Nepal is home to one of our own Scott J team members, making the events unfolding there personal to our salon family.
When she came to us asking if there was something our community could do to help, our answer was simple: yes.
Aveda + Nepal: A Meaningful Connection
Our connection to Nepal also extends through Aveda.
Aveda’s relationship with communities in Nepal dates back nearly two decades. Through partnerships with Nepali artisans,
Aveda helped support the traditional creation of handmade lokta paper, which many longtime Aveda guests may recognize
from the beautiful paper used in Aveda holiday packaging.
The partnership went far beyond packaging. It helped create economic opportunities for thousands of people, supported education
for children and families, contributed to clean-water projects, and helped protect Himalayan forests and wildlife.
Following Nepal’s devastating earthquakes in 2015, Aveda and its global network also came together to support relief and rebuilding efforts.
It is a beautiful example of something we believe strongly at Scott J:
the choices we make as a community can reach much farther than we realize.
How You Can Help
We invite our guests, team members, friends and neighbors to join us in supporting Nepal.
Rather than collecting donations in our salons, we are directing anyone who would like to contribute
straight to the Government of Nepal’s official Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
Funds support disaster relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts for affected communities.
